For four days, from today until 16th August, the best helicopter pilots will fight for victory in Przylep, Poland.

In total, 98 pilots from 12 countries participate in the most important rotorcraft event of the year.

FAI President Dr John Grubbström said in a welcome message to the pilots: "The event will focus on the development of international aeronautical relationships, exchanging experience and improving flying skills. Additionally, it will draw the attention of the public to aviation sports and showcase the role of helicopters in different areas including rescue, utility and public safety operations. This is the best premise for a highly successful event, and I hope that the many exciting activities and side events that the organisers have prepared will enhance the understanding and promotion of air sports amongst the general public."
