Claudia Mejia Is New CIVL Competition Coordinator
Recently CIVL reopened CIVL Competition Coordinator’s position. We received 34 applications, mostly from very qualified people. Choosing within these many good persons was not an easy task.
We sincerely want to thank all those who applied for their dedication to our sport.
CIVL is pleased to announce Claudia Mejia de la Pava as the new CIVL Competition Coordinator.
Claudia is a well known competition pilot, organiser and steward. Let’s hear her…
"I was born in New York City (USA) and grew up between the US and Colombia. I learned how to hang glide in Colombia in 1993 and have been involved in the different areas of our sport since (flying, competing, retrieving, organizing comps, directing and scoring comps, FAI Steward and writer).
I have a Masters of Arts degree from the University of Milan (Italy) and graduated summa cum laudae. I love working in the area of free-flight (HG & PG) trying to make things always go better for us. If I can't fly and must make a living, I don't see a better way to do it while involved in the sport I love!
I like to give my best, learn and improve constantly and enjoy Life to the fullest!"
