Korea's JeHyeong Jeon wins FAI Daegu Drone Race World Cup
Homegrown pilots dominated the 2018 FAI Daegu Drone Race World Cup in Daegu, Korea last weekend, with teenage drone ace JeHyeong Jeon delighting the crowds with a compelling winning performance.
Jeon received his prize at the Closing Ceremony held on September 9, at which he was joined by fellow Korean pilots YoungRok Son, MinChan Kim, and ChangHyeon Kang in second, third and fourth places.
Held at the South Korean city's World Cup Stadium from September 7 to 9, and hosted by FAI member organisation the Korean Federation for Aeromodelling (Kama), this latest event on the epic FAI Drone Racing World Cup calendar involved a massive 82 pilots from 12 different countries.
It began on Friday September 7 with training laps, before moving on to Qualifying rounds on September 8 and September 9 and Finals on September 9.

THE FAI DRONE RACING WORLD CUP
The FAI Drone Racing World Cup is a unique event offering fun and excitement for competitors and spectators alike.
It brings together drone racers from all over the world, and gives them a platform from which to show off their considerable skills, while pitting their drones against other top-flight pilots.
With contests in 19 different countries ranging from China to Finland, Brazil to France, and Russia to Australia, it also reflects the international popularity of drone sports.
