Bio

Misevičs began his drone racing journey in the summer of 2019 at 12 years old, when he attended a summer camp and learned the basics of flying and building drones. He says, "From that moment, I instantly knew I loved flying drones and was captivated by the competitive nature of drone racing as a sport." A skilled technician, he enjoys drone racing on two levels: the thrill of speed, and the creative freedom to design and assemble his own quadcopter in order to to perform to his exacting standards.

He competed at home and in Estonia and Lithuania during 2022 and 2023, racing regularly through the season and participating in the FAI World Cups in Italy and France, making it through to the FAI World Drone Championships (WDRC) in 2023. Misevičs' first WDRC was memorable, "It was incredibly exciting to meet other pilots and witness their amazing speed and skill."

In 2024 he got a 28th place in the World Cup in Italy, then a 5th place at the World Cup in Bulgaria, which gave him a place at at the FAI World Drone Racing Championships where he gained a solid 17th place overall, and a 12th in the juniors.

Misevičs will head to Chengdu with the same idea for his first participation at The World Games, planning to enjoy the experience of this global event, and put on his best performance.

Other activities

Misevičs is currently studying, and alongside his drone racing, he participates in another technically challenging hobby: bike trial. The goal is to complete challenging courses on a bike, focusing on technique and skill rather than pure speed. It requires precision and control whilst navigating obstacles, jumping onto boxes, platforms, and other structures to finish the course, so there are parallels to drone racing.
