Bio

After discovering FPV drone racing online, Tüzün was helped by his physics teacher to find an inter-school race, so he built a "heavy and slow" quad with the parts accessible to him. Downloading an FPV simulator a month before the race, he put in 100 hours of training. His efforts paid off, and he secured his first win!

After this success, Tüzün was hooked. Support by his father, he trained in a field near his house and after a year he made it to his first big national race, the 2023 Turkish Drone Championship where he gained the champion title. This attracted the attention of sponsors, which helped improve his equipment and his technique. After just a year in drone racing, he went into international competition and was thrilled to gain a first and a third place.

Tüzün was committed to studying for university in 2024, but as summer came and exams finished, he was able to take time to train and compete, heading to FAI World Cups in North Macedonia and one in Turkey (where he came first). This period also coincided with him gaining the title of national champion in Turkey. Participating in the 2023 and 2024 FAI World Drone Racing Championships was a major experience, but he reflects that, "luck wasn’t on my side."

In 2025 he plans to train harder and get more race experience in the run up to The World Games.

Other activities

After graduating from high school in 2024, Tüzün is now studying electrical engineering in Istanbul Technical University.
