Bio
Taking up drone racing at just eight years of age, Wannapong has a natural aptitude for competition. She burst onto the international drone racing competition scene in 2018 aged 11, fully supported by her family, and gained the female champion title at the first FAI World Drone Racing Championships.
The focused young pilot defended her title in 2019 and 2023 to become reigning female world champion until 2024, when Italian pilot Luisa Rizzo managed to topple her from gold medal position.
2025 represents her 10th year in drone racing, and Wannapong's determination has not faded. She says, "I love how fast the drones can go, and I want to be able to fly as fast as the guys!"
The World Games 2025 is not her first experience of this global event. Wannapong was the highest placed female in The World Games 2022, coming 10th overall. She hopes to make it to the top 10 again in the 2025 Chengdu edition.
Other activities
Like most other young pilots, studies are a main focus for Wannapong, as she prepares for the next tough challenge in her life: to enter university.
